Just what it sounds like. I am looking for recommendations for a tablet to use for recipes (txt, pdf, odt and the occasional youtube video) in the kitchen. Under 100 bucks preferred. Android ofc. There are so many on Amazon it is hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. I am currently using my laptop (17") and it just takes up too much counter space.

I plan to make a mount for it so I can mount it under a cupboard and fold it up flat when not in use.

probably a galaxy tab S9 FE or an A9+ would be the best, it's still NOT CHEAP though, probably on par with a used ipad from some years ago

Your best bet would be to scour your local used market and try and just find the best samsung tablet for 100 bucks, a new tablet is not gonna get you far, unless you want a amazon fire tablet?

Thanks for the suggestions. Just found a used A9+ for 125 bucks about 3 miles from me. I don't know why I didn't think to go with a used Samsung from the get go. My wife and I both use Samsung phones.

EDIT: My mistake, it is NIB, I hadn't clicked the listing yet.

i don't know in your country but in italy an A9+ new costs about 280€ on amazon which should be about 320$ i think, it's not that high of a price, i would go for a brand new one tbh, or better if you can find a refurb one would be more then perfect

on amazon a refurb one costs about 200€ so i guess it's like 230$

I'm in the US but that is way more than I want to spend on what will basically be a glorified cookbook.

The a9+ I just found on marketplace is actually new in box. I hadn't looked close enough at the listing. For $125 I can't see why I wouldn't get it.

oooooh my bad didn't understand correctly "NIB" lol 125$ is an amazing price! if it's "too good to be true" the A8 is possibly the best alternative i think

With it being so close the fact that I can just go test it before purchase makes it fairly safe. That being said if it falls through there are refurbished a8's on Amazon for around 90 bucks.

Update, talking with the dude on marketplace with the NIB a9+. We have a few mutual friends and he is in a bowling league with one of my former coworkers. He is definitely legit so it looks like I am getting a hell of a deal.

Sure sounds like it. I like my iPads, but that price from a reputable seller makes it an easy choice.

Just picked it up a couple hours ago. Box still had the factory seals. Getting it set up how I want it right now.
