XBox controller for PC

I readed that is possible use XBox controller for desktop PC and now I'm looking one but not know which exactly model I shoudl buy if want connect wirless to PC and I don't want get some old gen I'm looking for newest gen controller.

I just use a standard XBOX one controller and it works completely fine wirelessly.

If you don't have bluetooth on your PC you would need a bluetooth dongle for the controller.

All newest gen XBOX controller will work on PC.

Yea how to know which one is newest gen. Bluetooth is not problem I have X570 motherboard that support everything even WI-FI 6E by default.

I still don't understand why Microsoft doesn't carry the wireless adapter anymore. Maybe I'm just in the minority with regularly using 4 controllers.

I don't know what is that I never had Xbox or it's controllers before. I'm looking for controller due want play games on big TV screen.

as mentioned above, if it has a round D-Pad its the newest gen.  Also it would have 3 buttons in the middle.

 

If its like this white one, it is not the newest gen controller.

Linus did a video on this recently.

 

 

I bought the smx20 because of this video. It's a freaking bargain for what you get. No complaints only praise from me.

I'm a little late to this but I just use a regular Xbox controller that we got as an extra controller when we bought our Series S. it works just fine on the PC.
