Upgrading to AM5

Go to solution Solved by Doobeedoo,

All good though for new GPU I'd get now really with new platform. I'd lean on 9070 XT vs XTX which I have. Yes as it's comparable in general and better in some things. Can check game benchmarks for games you may care to see how they compare. Though they're both around there on avg.

The mobo seems waste of money if you don't need extra features and IO on it.

Budget (including currency): no higher than 1700€

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Coding, Office/School work.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

currently using Garuda Dragonized, with Win11 Dual Boot, Dual monitors 1080p 60hz and 1440p 165hz as main. I don't mind RGB components, though I just turn them all off most of the time.

I've bought a "prebuilt" in 2021 but then I've changed some of the components, I currently have these: ( * : parts I've added/changed )

*Motherboard ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II

*CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU : MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech

Cooler AIRW-24 - 240mm AIO

*RAM : 4 x Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18

PSU MRT-750

*Network Adapter HP NC552SFP 10Gb 2-Port Ethernet Server Adapter

Storage :  WD Blue SN580 SSD 1TB & Crucial P3 Plus

I plan to sell my current setup, keeping only the gpu and the ssds (and maybe the network card), here's what I have so far

I'm aiming for a build that gives a positive performance to price range. I'm not upgrading the gpu just yet, because I'm hoping AMD might make a new XTX with the new series. and If I ever upgrade the gpu, I don't know if I should buy a 9070XT or the 7900XTX, the age is keeping me from buying the 7900XTX. Preferably AMD components but if you have a NVIDIA component that's worth its price, do tell, so any info/advice would definitely help! Thank you

Edited : oops, I didnt have the proper link for the pcpartpicker

I'll take the PSU, but not the other components, I might've not been precised enough, 1700€ for everything except the GPU, because I'll be keeping it for a loonng time, so I'll just buy the gpu when AMD make another XTX or NVIDIA lowered their price (kappa).  With the list I gave, I'm almost sure of everything except for the motherboard, im solely basing what I know from the amazon reviews, any takes on this?
