But I'm looking for a streaming solution like apple tv or firestick to stream movies TV and youtube to a ultrawide monitor

My main criteria is just having something that I can completely navigate and turn off with a remote

Other than maybe like an Nvidia shield or something, I don't know of any of the streaming sticks/devices that can be turned off. Most just stay on and you just turn your TV off.

Would like to mention not all content will fill the screen. I have an ultrawide and many Youtube videos as well as videos on streaming services dont support the 21:9 aspect ratio. So there will be black bars on the sides. In some cases the video will support the aspect ratio. Its differs video to video from what I have seen.

You're not going to be able to turn the monitor off with the remote. Most monitors dont come with remotes/have IR receivers for remotes. Most streaming devices that have a power switch, have an IR blaster in the remote that you program for your TV. So you will have to manually turn off the monitor most in likely.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
