I’m using an Asrock b450m-hav r4.0 with the gpu slot clip snapped off. It doesn’t seem like the problem though. The pc boots normally and is on for a bit, but after 15-20 min the system shuts off. Just black screen, Doesn’t turn on until I unplug the gpu cables and reseat them and power on. All the parts except the motherboard are working in another system with an intel i7 6700k. I have a r5 5500 in this system. Was working before I changed the cooler for the stock cooler cuz my noctua nh-d15 didn’t fit in my case. I need some help as I want to run windows 11.

Can you elaborate on this? Like, do you mean the retaining clip?

So off off. Not just black screen but LEDs are off and fans not spinning? If so, that's usually a PSU issue. Though given that you did just mess with the CPU, you should probably try reseating it.
How old is that PSU? The AX860 looks like it was released over a decade ago.
I'd see if you can trigger a shutdown by just running furmark and prime95

The Psu worked on another system with a higher tdp cpu though

I also tried to run steel nomad on 3dmark and it just shut down

Step 1: Reseat/repaste the CPU cooler. (most probable issue considering what you've posted)

Step 2: If the case is a tower, lay it on it's side. That will help eliminate the GPU getting loose from vibration/gravity because the retaining clip is broken.

Step 3: Test again.

Have done both, didn’t fix the problem.
