BIOS versions shouldn't impact RAM capacity. If all your RAM is not showing up something else must be an issue.

Are you having issues with the CPU or the memory? The memory should be supported from v1.0. I don't think that changes. The only reason you would need to ugprade the BIOS is for support for the 9000-series CPUs.

There is a little more work involved with pasting the CPU cooler, and cleaning the old stuff off if you are replacing the CPU. If it's a new cooler with pre applied thermal paste, then you should be good to go just to keep your life simple. Installing the CPU itself should not require an extreme effort or time. The cooler is the part that can be time consuming. Make sure to watch a couple videos on installing AM5 CPUs. They will all be similar. And also watch install videos specific to your cooler.

Yea be super gentle, soft hands. The CPU only has one place for it to go, it'll fall right in place as long as the corner indicators match up.

So put the cpu down then put the latch down and then put the goo on the cpu and then the cooler

what if it wont boot

Could be a host of issues... are the power connectors plugged in, did you plug in all the necessary ones? is the power to the PSU turned on? Do you have a dedicated GPU... did you plug the wires into it?

Did you install too many risers beneath the mother board that you aren't using? Those could short the system. Did you drop any screws? That could short the system.

Did you plug the power button to the correct pins on the front header?

From my understanding, the first boot on AM4/AM5 takes a long time. So if you see fans spinning, just let it go for a while. If you don't see any fans spinning, then it is tough.

You can also try upgrading the BIOS in case your CPU is too new and your motherboard doesn't know how to process it. It looks like your PC supports upgrading the BIOS without fully turning on your PC.

Is it recommenede to do this before you put any parts in? And we tried re seating the cpu but nothing, there is a very tiny bent pin is that hte issue?

Can I run 4 sticks of 32gb each at 6400mhz for a 9800x3d? and a B650 EAGLE

That's pretty fast to run 4 stick of RAM at. The CPU likely wouldn't be able to support it, @minecraftyeet1 @johnt even though the motherboard supports it.

Did you try running just 2 sticks?

Start from the beginning when testing.

Run 2, confirm things run right, try to add other 2.

Why you need 128gb ram with a gaming CPU is beyond me tho.

Yes and? Technicallt it supports it however the memory controller is on the cpu. That cpu will by default only run then at best at 5600mhz anything beyond that. Been tested over and over but getting 4 sticks of ddr5 to 6000mhz at a decent latency isnt easy usually and you need a good bit of luck.
