Hoping someone here can help me!

I am running a vm on my system with VMWorkstation Pro 16 (Have also tried 17). The host is running latest windows 11 Pro, while the VM is running Windows 10 22H2.

I have given the VM the following:

4 core CPU/16GB Ram (DDR5 6000 Mhz) with GPU passthrough (RTX 5080)

The issue im having, is when running any type of graphic related task (Videos, a game etc) as soon as the mouse moves out of the VM Window (Detached) the FPS Drops down to almost 5 FPS until i move the mouse back into the VM. Id like to have the VM Run with the mouse outside of it, and not drop down to unwatchable FPS.

Host specs:

Intel Core 9 Ultra 285K 24 Core CPU

128 GB DDR5 Corsair Dominator 6000 Mhz CL30

RTX 5080

4TB Samsung 990 Pro

Aorus X890 Master MB

I have tried to google this, and am seeing a post about VMWare Workstation potentially being moved to E cores when not front and center, but ive checked task manager and it's not showing it running in E pool of services/apps.

I have tried setting keyboard/mouse to optimize for games always (In VM) but this doesn't make a difference.
