I have recently subscribed to floatplane, because of issues with YouTube, blocking my IP, when I was watching, without an account. I thought, I am just going to pay for floatplane, so I don't have to pay for YouTube premium. The watching experience is fine. The problem is, I like to watch videos while doing something else, but there isn't a playlist or watchlist, or even Autoplay feature. It would be nice, if such a function could be added. I don't know how hard it would be, but this makes it hard to completely switch from YouTube to floatplane. Another solution would be to make it available as a source for grayjay. I think there was somebody who did it, but it has been put on halt because of problems. I like the way how watchlists work in grayjay, but I have the problem with the login required to proof, I am not a bot and it's not grayjays fault, because I even payed for grayjay, I just don't have a google account and don't want to create one. I would rather pay for projects like floatplane and grayjay.

Any answers from the development team would be appreciated.

I would say for Grayjay, its more likely support will be by another user making script/addon than official support. Pretty much like how its already done for Plex or Roku. Official deveploment already has hard time to get even AndroidTV or AppleTV working, besides offering Androind and iOS apps with the website support. Its still small team, and doing more versions requires constantly updating when either side changes. Which means keeping up with vastly different platforms with maybe 10 users per becomes impossible quickly.

For playlists, I personally just download everything I want to watch, put them on my tablet and watch from there.

There should be a way to save videos, download on mobile devices, search needs to be good, (not just looking the exact words. sometimes a capital is the difference between finding something or not.

Download feature exists already. Maybe not in app, but on website. By saving, you mean favourites?

I find myself never liking/disliking a video when watching on my tablet (which is most of the time), because when viewing a video in landscape mode there's no way to show the like/dislike buttons without physically picking up my tablet and rotating it to portrait mode to show the buttons.
