I am trying to install the correct proprietary AMD drivers and "AMD Adrenaline Edition" so I can properly tune the performance level as needed. A long time ago on my earlier attempts of building a PC: when running it without installing GPU drivers, letting Linux do its thing with drivers built in. Games were unplayable on Steam and YouTube videos stuttered badly.

How I get my AMD Radeon RX 6800 to 'just work' on OpenSUSE? Please explain it and break every single step because I have zero experience installing any GPU drivers of any kind. I just need it to work.

I prefer OpenSUSE as a daily driver because of it's reliability and it being better to use than Ubuntu in my opinion.

IIRC, there is no AMD Adrenaline in Linux.
If you looking for voltage/power limit/fan control for the GPU you can install CoreCtrl or LACT

It should just work out of the box.
Unless you need to use the hardware encoder which iinm you need to install the Pro driver as well.
