I actually need some help.    I am building my first PC and have an issue , when i power on my pc i get power to the mobo because the i/o side ports graphics lights up but nothing els, fans don’t turn on , no Q-code, no display on monitor no light on the start button on the mobo. , for trouble shooting I’ve reseated the cpu 3-4 times bought an additional psu, re-set the ram 4-5 times changed sticks in different slots removed the gpu a few times changed my cooler from a 3 pin and bought one that had a 4 pin connector ( waste of money )and swapped out the mobo twice  and went from a 14900KF to a 14900k (or vice versa) and realized I needed the 285K. Yeah…learning a lot…but this is kinda fun but frustrating at the same time, i did want a cool project but didn’t think this would take this long , i started on 12-1-24 and still going. Im embarrassed to post my build but here it is.

 

I9 285K chip

Z890-E mobo

4060 GPU i know it’s weak but do-able (21% bottleneck)

MSI 850 PSU

6000 MTS DDR5 RAM

MP700 PRO SSD

Have you have populated the three motherboard power connectors, 24-pin, 2x8-pin?

 

Have you used the Q-LED function?

 

What does the 2 digit Q-CODE diplay on power up?

Yes , connections are good. Including the front panel

 

the Q-led does not light up even after i try to start it

When you first switch on the PSU (rear of unit rocker switch) do any of the Q-LED light up even briefly?
