I recently just built my first PC and while finding parts I found a 3080 founders card for a steal. It runs great but the fans start to squeak when playing anything a little demanding. Does anyone have any tips? I’m assuming I need to clean and lubricate the fan bearings but I’m a little nervous to get into it. Is it worth the trouble?

Are you sure its the fans and not coilwhine you are hearing?

I've encountered a few squeaky fans, both casefans and gpu fans.
First thing you can do is to gently press the center of each fan to make them stop, so you can make sure its the fan and not coilwhine, like Hinjima is suggesting.

If it is the fan, I have not figured out a way to make it stop, unfortunatly. I've heard that you can massage it a bit, pressing down on it, but it has not worked for me. In these cases ive RMA'ed the damn thing, but I assume its not an option if you have bought used. Is it purely the noise that is frustrating, or are you concerned with the longlivity of the component if it squeaks?

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)
