(Sorry in advance, english isn't my mother tongue)

Hello,

I've got a case that I can't solve currently.

This is a video recording server that won't boot for some reason...

Spec:
Motherboard: Asus B55M-A AC

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G

RAM: 2x8GB Corsair 2133Mhz

GPU: ASUS GTX 1650 (video decoder)

Storage 1: RAID 1: 2xSSD 250 GB

Storage 2: RAID 1: 2xHDD 16 TB

Storage 3: M.2 NVME drive 500GB

PSU: EVGA 650W Gold 80+

OS: Windows 10 x64

Story:

Was working fine for 3 years then for some reason stoped responding. I went to the site to retrieve the PC and I can't fix it.

Troubleshoot:

- I tried to fix the Windows with a bootable USB stick, can't load the stick. I see the dots (for loading) then freezes when I see 3-4 dots.

- Removed all drives. Still persists.

- Removed GPU. Still persists.

- I've reseated the RAM. Still persists.

- I've removed everything except "barebones" component. (MB, CPU, CPU fan, RAM, no drives SATA and NVME, no fan, no USB, no Case I/O).

- Changed the seating of the RAM to a single DIMM according to the Manual (currently slot B2)

- I've created a Memtest USB drive. I could run it, all tests passed.

- I've found an another set of RAM, swaped them, no luck.

- Cleared CMOS, problem stills persists.

- BIOS updated, problem stills persists.

- Played with BIOS settings to no avail... (Original Settings: RAID ON, Fast boot; disable, CSM; disabled, Secure Boot: Windows UEFI)

- I've created a Bootable USB drive Linux Ubuntu to run on the USB stick. I can load the textbox to select an option, but the second it has to load the OS. It freezes, like Windows 10 does atm.

Currently:

- At no point I was able to get a BSOD with a message error.

- I'm still troubleshooting using "barebones" component.

- I was always able to go into BIOS without any issue.

- I was always able to see the Windows Boot Manager and all drives are healthy.

Comment:

What bothers me the most is that I was able to get the Memtest86 USB stick running without any issues, but I can't even "load" a Windows boot drive to fix the OS.

That and not getting any MSOD errors to help the diagnostics.

Did you try using a Linux UXB installer (Ubuntu can do) to see if you can boot properly ?

There is something blocking the boot process and I'd like to know if it blocks only Windows. If that's the case, you may have a fried TPM chip or something.

Other things you can try is replacing the CMOS battery (mostly because it costs almost nothing) and use another PSU.

Good luck !

Yes, Ubuntu did not load/boot at all from UXB.

And also, Yes the CMOS battery was changed during the CMOS clear. Forgot to mention it.

Thanks for your input =)

EDIT: I have the option to disable the TPM. Because I'm curently running WIndows 10 I didn't see a problem. Tried to turn it off, still freezes.
