Hey, I was just wondering if anybody had a suggestion for a cheap but effective boot drive for windows 11. I have a 2 tb ssd in my plan for games and everything else, but i just wanna have an ssd dedicated to Windows.

Any particular reason for wanting windows on a different drive?

I have windows on my gaming M.2 ( KC3000 ) and its fine.

The Kingston NV1 250 GB is quite cheap and effective, its definitely not the fastest M.2 out there.. But you get what you pay for.

however if you think i'll be fine with one 2tb drive then i'm all for it

You will absolutely be fine with just having one M.2.  I have been rocking a single drive for over a decade.

Its not a problem at all and less possible issues.

I currently only use a single 2TB M.2 and its all good 🙂

No need to overcomplicate it.

Save some money, spend the 'Windows drive'' money on some games instead 🙂

There really isn't a reason to have a separate boot drive anymore.

If you're worried you might erase your entire drive if you reinstall Windows for some reason, create a 250 gig partition for Windows on your 2 TB drive. Then you can create a second partition out of the rest of the space and use that for game storage.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
