Problems with wireless internet connection to computer

So ive had my computer for around 2 months now its a hp and is brilliant for gaming but a problem has started where the connection occasionally drops out on me for a few hours because I'm using the internet, I don't know if its to do with placement but I tried with my dads laptop in my bedroom and it was on full bars and mines only on 2 bars at the moment but say if I wanted to watch one of Linus's videos on 720p the quality of it would stay crappy and my internet would cut off on the computer. I know this sounds confusing but I just want to know a solution to fix this

you recommend any power line kits or ethernet bridge's because the router on the other side of the house

Probably has to do with the Wireless adapter, can you find out which one you have?
