240mm AIO recommendations

I'm planning my first liquid cooled CPU build. Please let me know your thoughts. (Workstation / gaming pc - New Builds and Planning - Linus Tech Tips)

Since I have no experience with AIOs, please let me know your recommendations for the case fractal ERA 2 (240mm AIO).

I don't need RGB, just quiet operation.

I really like the VRM cooling. Unfortunately the cooling block's height is 65.5 mm, which forces me to put the ERA 2 in the max. CPU and min. dGPU position, giving me only 48 mm (2.4 slots) allowed dGPU thickness.

I found this ERA 2 build with the 280mm Lumen V2 from fractal.

It's block is only 43 mm thick, allowing the max. dGPU configuration.
But is has a 2 pin cable coming from the radiator. Is that a temperature sensor?
And if it is, is it possible to use it to control the fan's rpm?
