RTX 5080 causing power problems?

I've recently went from a 3070 to a 5080, at first I was using the adapter and yesterday I got a 90° cable, the cable is H++ just like the adapter, the only difference is that it only uses 2 type4 connectors on my PSU (RM 1000x) instead of 3 like the adapter did, after the change my PSU now makes a clicking sound when the system turns on, like a few seconds after I press the power button on the case, and when it turns off it does the same sound plus some of my led fans blink really fast just once before the system shuts off. Also, the cable gets a little warm under load, around 370w, nothing concerning I guess, around I wanna say 40°c to 55°c range (I just touched it, I don't have a way to measure it).

This turning off video is in slow motion, it happens way faster in reality.

Sorry, it's just two 3 second videos of the sound and blinking happening, the first one I press the power button, 2 seconds later (the GPU and mobo is already lit on at this point) then the click happens. the second one is turning off, right before the system shuts off for good (all led fans are already off at this point), they blink, the PSU clicks again and e shuts off.

some people might be able to play those videos, not me though,

not sure what the exact problem could be either, 1000W Corsair PSU shouldn't struggle with 5080

yeah, that's PSU's protections triggering,

I assume the PSU isn't really that old?

have you made sure the cables are nice and tightly inserted to avoid any cable related issues?
