I think it started doing this around 2023. I am running Windows 10

have you tried doing a fresh windows install, if you do you will want to back up your files to a external drive

first you will want to create a windows installation media. here are some instructions from Microsoft on it.

You could try a built-in reset, however, this just recovers the PC using whatever recovery image Microsoft has stored on the PC, whereas doing a clean install with a USB drive will use whatever the latest build version is at the time the USB is created. Also, if your computer is new enough, I do recommend Windows 11 as Windows 10 reaches end of life in October of this year.
