Hello

Here is my components

i7 13700k

z790 gigabyte aorus elite rev1.0

32gb ddr 5 5200 cl29

gigabyte 4080 super

pc case: lian li lancool 3 (3×140 in + 1x 140 exhaust fan)

Aio Lian li galahad 2 360

I m happy with these components. For gaming they are top but not for their noise...

Have you any tips/settings to reduce the noise?

Is there some parts I can change to reduce the noise?

Thanks

I mean, if noise is the absolute enemy: yes, remote is the only way for absolutely silent operation while gaming. You can always tune the fan curves to be silence optimized, but your thermals may be less than ideal.

Modern hardware is very quiet to begin with, so you may not even need to go silence freak.

The first step in eliminating noise is finding out where the noise is coming from and what is causing it.  Just listing the parts to your system does not indicate where the noise is coming from so a little more information is needed.  Is the noise caused by coil whine?  Is it noise caused by the fans?  Just more info needed.  Just putting your PC in another room doesn't really solve the problem because it doesn't really eliminate the noise, it just relocates the noise to another room and then you have to shut the door any time you want to use your machine and to just say, "Put it in the closet", doesn't really work either because then you can have problems caused by heat build up because of the lack of air circulation.

Take care and good luck.

I totally agree on identifying the noisy parts.

Step two would be to play around with fan curves, so they aren't too aggressive. This does mean you have to consider if you will allow your pc to run hotter for a lower noise.

Next step is looking into undervolting. I don't have the links ready at hand, but there are some nice guides out there, and even an LTT video where they show how to undervolt your gpu. It's surprisingly easy.

Same with cpu, if your cpu fan is the issue.

Is the noise constant or only when you game? Do you live with people that also would like it to be quiet, or is it just for you?

The cheapest solution if it is just you is to get some nice headphones, but for me that solves nothing, as I game in the living room and it has to be quiet for both me and my wife. I usually look for the most quiet gpu, but my last investment may have been a mistake, because I was self imposed space restricted. Should have gotten the Asus TUF model as it usually scores best in Techpowerup's noise test.

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

The noise come from the AIO. The pump and fans under charge. I start to monitor température and ajust my fan / pump curve to see if I can optimise this.

okay. if its just the AIO definetly start tweaking your settings, and maybe try undervolting the CPU. I have no experience with the 13700k though, but im sure there are guides out there.

Apart from that, you can look into AIO reviews and see if there is a good quiet one that fits your needs. Or new fans for your existing one. Alternatively consider getting a beefy air cooler, but i don't know/think they can outperform the top tier AIOs 🙂
