Hello everyone, I just change my processor with the powerfull one but the performence seems not really improve.

I'm using Ryzen 5 5600G before, but my fps on valorant only getting around 150 - 250 and it's not stable enough to play, and when I play God of War 2018 I'm not expecting to get 100fps but everything goes well.
I mean my pc isn't getting hard with the ram or even my GPU, and my CPU's workload can work better with my GPU.

After I change my processor to Ryzen 5 5600X, my expectation on this processor is high and better then mine before. even I check on bottleneck calculator R5 5600X with RTX 2060Super only get 5% which better then before.
the problem is when I play valorant I expect getting up to 400FPS... end up getting 300fps and nearly down to 150 when there's much movement. I try to tuning with Ryzen Master and my FPS only down around 200, sometime below 200 but not to far.

the next problem on God of War, I do get more fps and my game getting more smooth (IG) but when I minimize my game, my pc is lagging so bad but the game still good, especially when I stream with OBS.

what should I do?

You went from a 5600g to a 5600x and expected to gain 150 fps in Valorant?  The 5600X isn't that much of an uplift over the 5600G.

Seems like you moved up from the 5600G to the 5600x. Assuming both systems are otherwise identical and that you were using a dGPU before, then the performance uplift isn't really gonna be much. A 5700 or one of the x3d chips would've probably netted a noticeable performance increase. What GPU are you using anyways? And how much RAM do you have? And what's your storage solution?

A 5600g and 5600x are basically the same cpu.

What are the rest of your specs?

RTX 2060Super
Kingston fury 2x8 (run in 3400)

for the storage

MSI Spatium 480 Pro 1TB

anyway I do re tune my processor and I get around 400fps but still drop on 280-350

well yea I do understand that they're basically the same, but I think 5600X had more potential then 5600G

I think they just changed the clocks and the L3. They're pretty similar. And I doubt there'll be any meaningful improvements with the 2060S.

Yeah, if you want a big uplift in Valorant, return the 5600X and get a 5700X3D (not the regular 5700X non-3D, which will not be meaningfully faster than the 5600X).

It's very simple, you want more fps, get better hardware and obviously lower game settings.

Ain't no way you have a monitor that has a 350hz refresh rate. You're fine.

Why not? He could have a high refresh monitor.

A total guess that based on the price allocation of parts would make sense in this scenario making quite a few assumptions and assuming they are not an idiot and know that spending 300 dollars on a monitor isn't the best idea when you're running a 2060.

According to his profile he has two monitors that appear to be 180 and 100hz, so I was correct, that said I apologize since i did probably come across as a bit arrogant in that response (it was indeed a rather pointless comment in hindsight)
