Performance Limit - Utilization

Your CPU is capping out at 83.5% utilization. Valorant seems to be running about as it should on your CPU. This isn't a GPU or a power supply problem. As pointed out by @dizmo, your CPU is very sensitive to ram speeds. The videos you're seeing with higher FPS, especially if this was one, is with higher speed ram.

What you're seeing is about what I'd expect with a 1st gen Ryzen and 2133 mhz ram.

Hey guys, so I recently upgraded to a 4060, and I am getting low fps here is my setup: my motherboard is gigabyte A520M K V2 i play Valorant in every benchmark i saw it showed 250-300fps on high but i get at max 150[more like 100] not even stable on low setting, i got 120 fps mid detail on old gpu [rx5500 xt] i tought it could be the psu but i want to know any tips or tricks before i buy new one i also did fresh re-install of windows and would like to know if it could be anything else than psuimage.png.3696264eb2adc8c30150f74fa1e2f833.pngimage.png.a7c028387cabcada9e0316a7afa4133e.pngimage.png.b3b028fb510d43ea415361c4042159ea.pngimage.png.377af15e05e0d36f5f46a2e2982c2626.png

we can read normal sized font just fine , and did you ddu the old drivers.

Also your cpu is 8 years old and isn't going to yield the kind of results a better cpu will.

Also i know it's old but i saw few benchmarks with that exact cpu and gpu the guy had 200-300 fps on high

Do you have 2133mhz RAM? Older Ryzen was really sensitive to that, you're likely losing a lot of performance there.

450w that's why I am asking if i should buy a new one and if there are any things i could try before getting one

yeah that's not a powerful enough Psu the recommended is 550watts to with your cpu and other stuff I would go with a 700-750watt

Can we? Double it and give it to the next reply

OP check windows power settings to make sure you're not on laptop mode. Gen 3 PCIE on that old board and 4060 is very sensitive to a cut in data rate. But I don't think Valorant is intensive enough for that, I know Last of Us was bad loss in FPS from 4.0 to 3.0.

I don't think that matters. The card doesn't even draw half that.
