lol yeah, 2 stock cards.

Some are on eBay for $300, mining cards is what I think these were.

Hopefully they don't die :P I know the pain of replacing a gpu in a loop. One of my Titan Blacks died the second day :( Good thing they didn't knew that I watercooled them :P

Oh, wow. That sucks. How did it die?

Oh btw if they're EVGA cards it's ok to take the stock cooler off, it doesn't void warranty as long as you ship it back with the cooler if you need to RMA.

You can turn off Powertune Boost :) via MSI Afterburner.

The first settings page, at the bottom where it has "Unnofficial overclocking support." - and a drop down list.

/w Powerplay

/without Powerplay

Disabled

Choose /without Powerplay.

Then your card will stay at its intended high clocks.

You can also set profiles on the last profiles page, so for idle/2D mode you could have a saved reduced clock if you want, and when you open 3D apps, it changes to your performance clock.

I know of the "gradual" increase and decrease of the clocks and have used this method time to time to stop it doing so.

*May require restarting App/Pc when setting up, so don't be "in" a game.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
