voice control on windows

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

Win 11 has "voice access" and "speech recognition" which do a similar thing. Your mileage may vary of course.

does anyone remembers voice controls on windows vista? it was like you would said start and it opened start menu, then you could said show in numbers or number the page and it would put a number on each place on the start menu you could click, basically you could used it as a voice controled mouse and keyboard, does anyone knows win 11 still has that future or not? i was using this future all the time back then until my laptop stopped working which was a dell latitude or attitude d830 and when i got a new one i couldnt set it up again, does this voice control rings any bell for anyone ?

building a pc is like choosing a wife, you can build something ugly on the outside but beautiful inside, or you can have something beautiful from outside with no brain, if you be lucky you can build a pc with amazing look inside and out if you have the money, and if you have crappy luck with no money you can end up with an ugly slow pc, so it seems it all comes to what you worth for yourself to spend on what you want to spend time with, if you are confused dont worry i am confused too

Vista was good, it was just released before it was fully ready, and forced onto machines that didn't meet the suggested specs, and so by the time it was fully featured: it had already gotten a reputation for being awful.

Microsoft remedies that with W7 which was fully featured Vista, with strict minimum requirements, and fixed the bugs that Vista had. Vista walked so that 7 could run.

i still feel more comfortable with vista, i found the speech recognition in windows 10, it is exactly the same as windows vista, even the dialogs used for so windows recognizes your voice, is the same as vista, it is like microsoft just copied voice recognition from vista to windows 10, try it once, it is helpful specially when you are sitting on the sofa and reading something and dont want to move your hand to scrol down, you just say scrol down and it scrools down for you and many other voice comands, god i missed this shitty future which havnt been changed for over 15 years
