I personally cant see the burn spot because of the picture quality (its not your phone, youre just not holding it at the right length for autofocus to work), but no its not normal for that to happen.

 

Those label shouldve also be removed before installation.

theyre actually fine to just leave on, i leave em on and it still works fine but i do remove them when i have to clean a seemingly dead cpu to revive it

One of the more common ways yeah, especially when a live voltage pin touches a ground.
