Upgrade Suggestion

I am planning on upgrading the RTX5070 from 3060Ti and my current CPU I5-10400. I would like to choose B650E motherboard and either R5 7600X or R5 9600X(~30USD more expensive), which would be better?

 

Also if the 9600X is the better choice, how is the bios update gonna work? Since I assume the B650E when I buy it it won't work with 9600X out of the box so how am I supposed to update the bios?

That is a great bump in performance going from a 3060 Ti to a 5070. Also a 7600x/9600x will be a major uplift as well

 

The 7600x and 9600x are so similar in performance that it really doesn't matter.

Most mid to high end B650E motherboards have whats called Qflash/BIOS Flashback feature that lets you update the BIOS without CPU, RAM or GPU installed so this is not a problem.

Just get a board with this feature.  If you find a board you like and are unsure if it has this feature, you can tag me or DM me and I can double check for you.

TUF-B650M-E is what I have in mind but if you any other better suggestion and it is in the price range of 130-180usd please let me know

That is a great motherboard!
I also have an ASUS TUF B650 motherboard and I like it.  Not has a single problem with it for 2 years now.

 

I have actually used 3 TUF-B650M-E as well in builds and its been rock solid without any problems.

This motherboard also has the BIOS Flashback feature so you can use it with the 9600x
