Hi All, I’m looking to replace my ageing setup, I plan on using sagittarius 8 bay chassis, looking for recommendations on hardware and os please.

 

Replacing the following devices. Ideally I need a low power solution but with ability to transcode UHD content. I’m based in UK and budget is flexible ideally around £600 excluding case.

 

Synology DS1019+ 5 x 6TB WD Red, NVME Cache 

* Plex

* Docker - Running Radarr etc.

 

HP Elitebook 800 G3 Mini

* Proxmox - Running Homeassistant, AdGaurd (LXC Container)

 

Hardware Goals

* Low power

* Hardware Transcoding

* Dual 2.5GB NIC - Could just get a card

* Support for 8 Drives - HBA Card or onboard? RAID

* MATX MB Due to case size

 

OS - TrueNAS?
