Hi,

I use the NR200P case from Coolermaster, and it comes with some fans in the top that rattle (sickleflow 120 I think). I am aware that sickleflow fans aren't good and apparently this is a common issue with this case when using the stock fans.

So I need some new ones, and I would appreciate some recommendations.

Two fans will be on top as exhaust, and two on the side, pushing air into a radiator (all fans I currently have are coolermaster 120mm), so 4 total. I would like no RGB, 120mm, and under $20 NZD each. I just need something better than the sickleflows that doesn't rattle, any cooling benefit would be a nice extra.

I live in New Zealand, so Arctic fans are simply not an option. They don't sell them here, and shipping gets ridiculous when importing.

Noctua is off the table too, I do not wish to spend that kind of money on fans.

Thanks for any help.

At this price range I would look at the Thermalright TL-C12C 120mm.

What retail / e-tail stores are shopping from?

What brand do they stock?

I build a new compact PC for a friend using the NR200P, and the only complaint they had is the noisy SickleFlow fan...swapped that out.

You also need to find out how/where it is rattling from.

  • Fan shroud vibrating against the case, causing the rattling?
  • Fan blade/hub vibrating on the fan frame, causing the rattling?

PBTech is New Zealand's primary tech shop. They stock deepcool, be quiet, coolermaster, nzxt, antec, asus, corsair, noctua, Lian Li. I am also willing to buy online as long as it is a reasonable price

If it's the hard plastic of the fan shroud against the metal case, using metal screws, with no rubber pads to damp the transfer of vibrations, then that will be it.

Under $20 NZD...

ASUS AR120-1 ($18.02). ARGB compatible, but you can just turn the RGB lights off or keep the ARGB plug disconnected. Has rubber pads on all four corners.

$23.99, but runs significantly quieter with max noise topping out at 16dB (vs 25dB at max RPM). Rubber pads also included.

Neither of these do great on an aio btw. Vompared to sickleflows yeah about equal but they do have bequiets that are pretty good.

Issue with sickleflows new and old is that they dont spin flat. The qc is low and they are quiete wobbly known to be able to hit a case side.

SickleFlows were never good...no idea why Cooler Master won't let it die off.

The top fans are just exhaust at the side fans is where the AIO radiator is, at least from OP's description.

In the NR200P (non v2) the radiator can be side-mounted.

Im aware its more like if they are buying 4 fans 2 of ehich are to replace the aio's ones might as well just get pure wings as they do airflow and pressure well as well as being 16,50 nzd.

Dunno either. Like their generic unbranded case fans are usually even far better so its not like they cant make dirt cheap ok fans. Just that sickleflows are basically required to suck I guess?

frustratingly every single bequiet fan is out of stock except for the silent wing 4, which is a bit pricier than I'd like to spend
