Well, if others would have commented to this post,

they'd say the same thing I'm saying, and that's the PC parts are modern enough to already be running near their limit,

for plug-play easiness, and it makes sense for CPU to run as fast as possible almost from factory considering you want a competitive product.

7800x3D has 3D cache so OCing it won't really help, as it will just make it run hotter and actually slower most likely.

For few years now the only "OCing" that's being done is undervolting, which not only can slightly boost that 1% performance similar to OCing, it's also 200% safer when doing right, because you're just essentially reducing the amount of power CPU/GPU demands, while maintaining same clock speed that on default would draw more power.

There's also just Auto OC and all that that AMD gives, which can give you like 1% better performance on GPU, wouldn't really even auto OC CPU, PBO alone already tells CPU to go as fast as possible during load anyway.

There are guides for undervolting Ryzen CPUs, and there are guides for improving performance on AMD GPUs, let me find one of each.

It's worth noting all parts are different when OCing and undervolting, not just this guy using 7900 XTX, so copying settings probably isn't going to work, but sometimes even same chips can have different limits and headrooms for OC/UV.

For example if 7800x3D in video could undervolt 40mW, that doesn't mean yours can also do -40mW, yours can do -50mW, or is sensitive and only can do about -20mW or even less.

Also Jayz is using 7000 series GPU, might want to look for tutorial using 6000 series GPU.

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050
  3. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz | 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti
