Budget (including currency):

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: not mostly AAA games but some and gta 5 dota 2 valorant once human, for work I will do mostly virtualization and playing with proxmox and other linux, and for game target is GTA 6 so when it come out for PC want to play it will update my GPU and nothing else

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

SMPS - Thermaltake TR2 S 600W

RAM - CORSAIR DDR4 3000mz 8GBx2

Storage - XPG GAMMIX S5

GPU - Radeon RX 580 4GB

CPU - Ryzen 3 1200

Motherboard - B450M DS3H

Want to upgrade to

CPU - Ryzen 9 7900

Motherboard - thinking of - Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX WIFI Motherboard

Ram - Corsair CMK32GX5M2E6000C36 Desktop Ram Vengeance DDR5 Series 32GB (16GBx2) 6000MHz

Im confused with the motherboard cause Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX WIFI this one on there website it says
"The PCIEX16 slot can only support a graphics card or an NVMe SSD. If only one graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot."

Im confused what this mean am I able to use GPU and M.2 SSD at full speed or the x16 lane is shared with storage and GPU confused with this
P.S- can also suggest any other Motherboard from gigabyte or MSI

For virtualiation you might wanna look into server GPUs like an nvidia RTX A5500 (simply cause its better for that but smt like an rx 7900 xtx will do good for both that and gaming as well) or smt like that AND I'd suggest smt like an r9 7950x or a threadripped for flat out a server all together. But either way you arent gonna use any of the old parts it seems like ( excpet storage if you wanna throw that in as it doesnt matter) cause like almost EVERYTHING there doesnt match or has anything of use. Also any ram thats 6000 cl30 is fine (that specific kit isnt that so its a no go

They make good boards and with that budget you're at the Matx ballpark for good boards where the asrock b650m pro RS is around there. Maybe 5-10 usd more.  Also the "I've only used that" is a weak arguments especially for reputable brands like asrock

looks like its better to increase bu budget little and get good mobo so I'm gonna hold on for now maybe save for 2-3 month then go for the better motherboards
so all other things are good to go then ?

and I can use all other things from my old build like storage and PSU and GPU(for now will upgrade later)
me and you said something about that RAM I selected can you please tell what I should look for when get ram

and 2 ram slot cause I might increase ram later to 64gb that's why looking for 4 slot ram mobo

and I'm open to use asrock no issue

Not needed. there are still good mobos under or at your budget. Just dig around a bit as see what good mobo is withing your budget

You can if you wanna upgrade later sure but the PSU will have to be upgraded for that CPU. A good ram kit for AM5 works at 6000mhz with a cas latency or CL of 30 so the higher the CL the worse it is. you want LOW CL and HIGH mhz.

Look to simplify it. Board with only 2 ram slots= bad. Board with 4 ram slots= good. 2 ram slots weak board 4 ram slots better board.

No it does mean smt. It means its a weak board thats meant for way lighter use case. Its a SUPER LOW budget board you get for smt like a media machine as they often run ram at slowe speeds as well. Yes it runs dual channel but THAT doesnt mean anything

As long as its CL 30 or CL32 at worse its fine.

Dont tell me kit names and mhz only. Ram is determined by everything INCLUDING CL as a kit such as the flare x5 has widly different speed and even at the same speed they have different CLs such as 30 32 36 40 46 48 etc etc

while thats normally true the hdv is an exception

also just so happens to be one of the best ram oc boards on am5 slightly behind the much higher end x670e gene

heck the 2nd pcie x16 is a gen4 x4 link from the cpu so you can technically dual gpu with it if you want

See? There are distinct examples of products not following the norm such as this board but that doesnt change that a 2 ram slot board in like 99% of cases (or better said 99% of the models that make up this type of board) is a worse board than a 4 ram slot board (exceptions in this case being a620 boards or boards so bad they dont work or cause damage for obvious reasons). If you wanna argue semantics and mention other exceptions that break the norm but are a vastly smaller minority go ahead. I stand by what I said and my statements here arent false

fair enough

also forgot to actually link the oc results

b650m hdv

x670e gene

cant even find an hwbot for the x870e hero that supposedly hit 9000 but it is on gskills site so yeah 2dimmers reign supreme in ram oc with the exception of the boards below the b650m hdv say the asus b650m-k or the abysmal sub ds3h gigabyte boards but even those can still hit near or around 8000 as shown here despite the garbage board quality which i honestly didnt expect till i saw someone actually doing it

as for the op 4dimms on ddr5 is completely pointless till you need over 96gb of ram and the imcs atm are kinda shit so they dont handle 4 stick nor quadrank very well but you shouldnt worry about mem oc capabilities cause afaik most boards should be able to hit close enough to 8000 and the hdv will only start being noticably better beyond that so pick whichever boards the cheapest and has all the i/o you need whilst also having a good vrm which you can check with the hw unboxed video i sent above

cheapest 6000c30/32 kit will do so dont bother with paying extra for branding but its still a much better choice than your original 6000c36 kit

the low cl bins like 6000c34 and lower are hynix based usually a die (capable of 9000+ as shown in the links i sent above) theyll mainly benifit from tighter subtimings as the board should auto train tighter subs compared to a worse samsung/micron ic as in the high cl kits so even in an untuned xmp state itll be faster

theyll pull even further ahead with tuning so id also reccomend some easy settings like this if you dont wanna bother going in depth with ram tuning as itll get you 90% of the way there

you can cheap out here with some green pcb hynix or black pcb klevv 5600c46 as theyre still hynix a die based so you could save abit of extra cash here, only real difference is the pcb but that seems to be completely irrelevant till you are pushing some pretty high clocks (>10000)

So end of the this is gonna be my main PC and mostly gonna run windows on it
I want to to run as simple I can so like most out of the box configuration will be ok for me
Just want to play games end of work day that's all and sometime stream for my friends not just on discord but maybe twitch or YT
Going for that CPU cause I want to run games like GTA 5 and valorant on background while having streaming or watch something on Netflix or working for that I will have like more than 100 chrome tabs open maybe 20+ server ssh connection open so

just want something that will run stable and can do multiple things at the same time and my end target is run GTA 6 when it comes with just GPU upgrade maybe ram and storage but nothing else
and is there any issue with using my current PSU might upgrade when get new GPU but for now

is it really like so far i know its a ok company and 600 watt is i think enough for my build with my current GPU
like I will change it within like 7-8 month but is it too bad for using for like 7-8 month cause my original plan was getting an ddr4 system upgrade

but then I thought its better get am5 now but if I have to upgrade psu damn!
