CPU upgrade recommendations please!

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Baldur's Gate 3, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Apex Legends; video editing with DaVinci Resolve, data processing in Python and simple climate model simulations for uni

Upgrading my CPU/Ram/Mobo. I game at 1440p, but for Apex I hope to hit 1080p 170fps. I'd prefer to keep this PC and be happy with it for at least 6, 7 years. However it gets really hot and humid during the summers which is why I'm hesitant about the Intel CPUs since they seem to use a lot of power. I'm a bit overwhelmed with the number of choices here and I'm hoping you guys can help out!

7900X3D best gaming performance (AMD) and enough cores for davinci resolve (if they are intensive and long) as for the others no need for anything over 6 core 12 thread for both of them. Anyone that does runs on nothing more I've talked to in the past. 7700X or 9700X are also good enough if a little extra time on DaVinci matters at all and if you want to save money.
