Hello all,

I am Christmas shopping for my sister, and she suggested to me that she would like a "gaming" laptop (really any laptop) that would be able to run games such as The Sims 4. Currently, all she has is a chromebook, so just about anything will be an upgrade. While I was browsing, I came upon this listing, and spec wise it seems like it would be able to do as she wants. My only hang up is that I cannot find any reviews of this laptop with these specific specs in my research, I can only find reviews of people getting either the I7 or Ryzen 7 version. Does anyone here have experience with this laptop, and if so do you think this would be a good fit for her use case?

You missed the bestbuy's reviews.
But overall, at that price that's honestly a great deal.
Definetly better than a chromebook.

12GB is the lowest amount of RAM I would use on Windows nowadays. For someone that will primarily be doing work or moderate gaming, 16GB should be the minimum. But 12GB in the scenario you stated should work fine.

If you're going to be working with MS Office apps (specifically MS Outlook and Excel) with multiple browser tabs open, go for 32GB if an upgrade is planned in the future.
