As someone who uses moonlight often to stream from my gaming pc, the wifi degradation issues of the OLED over time is super annoying and inconsistent (tl;dr streaming is fine for maybe ~15 minutes and then it starts hitching and lagging). Valve havn't cared much for it either. Do many of you guys experience this?

There has been increased activity and discussions about it recently on reddit and github.

wifi just aint that good... maybe you need your router closer, or a more powerful one, or try a different frequency?

If it were just me or something thats rarely mentioned i would also think that. but theres quite a large (subjective) community of people reporting the same problem. its not just moonlight either. lots of instances where people download something from steam at high speeds for 10 mins then it suddenly degrades. Its such an incredibly annoying behaviour and worst of all, inconsistent. the most recommended fix is to turn wifi off and on or just restart the deck.

I don't stream much but I do play Titanfall 2 and Rocket League on my Steam Deck without any issue. Is your problem just with streaming or with online gameplay too?

edit it add: maybe try streaming the largest video you can find. A 4k HDR blu ray rip would be ideal but failing that just try something like this YouTube video:

If it's a wifi problem it shouldn be limited to just game streaming and you should be abe to trigger it when streaming anything latency or bandwidth intensive.

Game streaming is both latency and bandwidth intensive so finding out which one is hurting you might help figure out what to do next.
