So I just bought a ups and while I was setting it up I forgot that I had an extension cord that goes to my power strip for my devices, then I decided to check the manual and they say :

"3. Connect equipment to the UPS. Avoid using extension cords."
"4. Plug the Easy UPS power cord directly into a wall outlet, not into a surge protector or power strip."

So after looking into forums it seems like my situation should set my house on fire 🙂 On a serious note, every single post I read says different things, and It clearly did not helped me.

But I technically don't go against the manual, I don't have any surge protection other than the ups itself and I don't overcome the output the ups can deliver...

The way I currently have it now is wall outlet→extension cord→ups→power strip→devices

Thought i'd ask because I'm really lost and don't want my house to burn either...

As long as the rated power of any device in that chain isn't being surpassed, you'll be fine.

The warning to not plug the UPS into a power strip is to make sure that people won't be able to connect any other devices to the wall outlet that the UPS is on, because that could lead to the power strip/wall outlet getting overloaded.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.

that warning exists because in the US some extension cords are cost cut to the point they're a serious safety hazard.

all my UPS'es are on extension cords, but all those extension cords are propper wire gauge, so it's all good.

Also, if the UPS is plugged into a surge protector, it can fail to detect power instability and won't switch to battery when expected. A straight power cord should be good for temporary use. But I suggest you move your computer closer to an outlet or have an outlet installed closer to your computer. The UPS will work better and the cord won't be a tripping hazard....
