The Plex client gets its information from the Plex server running on your NAS. It doesn't browse directories by itself.

Once you pick something to play on the client, the server streams it over the network (probably as a UDP stream.)

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Whenever I watch a video on the plex cilent and turn off the
power of the TV box, the plex server running on the nas obtain
information from internet and the hdd spins quickly, but the
problem is solved when I disable the plex server on the nas.
can i fix it?
beside, the software I run iso2dsd is based on java runtime
environment, every time I run iso2dsd I find that the
cpu(8750h) usage is 100%, do you think this is normal? thank you
