What difference in speed should I expect from a DRAM-less vs a DRAM SSD when copying files of several gigabytes in size or adding to/extracting from archives?

Depends which specific drives, as manufacturers are circumventing the lack of DRAM with other tricks.

Do tricks have the results in speed as DRAM? I read good reviews only about TEAMGROUP MP44L, so it is that (or anything else DRAM-less worth considering) against slightly more expensive drives with DRAM such as KINGSTON FURY RENEGADE, KINGSTON KC3000, ADATA LEGEND 960 MAX etc

Also dependa how large files and how often you do write focused tasks over just read from it. Can always go with DRAM if price is fine over alternative.

The dram is mainly to store the FTL, so a data allocation table, 

if the nvme ssd don’t have dram it used hbm (nvme 1.2) to cache some of that table (usually 32-64MB). If it don’t have that data in the hbm, it has to read it from nand, and that is slower. The FTL usually needs around 1MB to map 1GB of nand data. 

the problem you have isn't really a debate, as good dramless ssd, cost similar to good dram ones.
The cheap dramless ssd are just slower. Will it impact your use case, depends on lots of things.

just buy the best ssd in your budget and capacity you want, it’s that simple.

ssd is just a controller + nand.

you want a fast controller, and fast TLC NAND. 

the good controllers have dram, as it’s not cost effective, to produce a complicated multi core, 8 channel controller, and not ad DRAM for it to use, to map FTL. 
But you can do a slower controller, with fewer cores, and 4 channels, that will be ok for most task, and without dram, for cheaper.

Dram is not involved in caching the data, it doesn't concern speeds. The thing that matters is the pslc size and writing strategies.
