Bluetooth Issues, help requested

Go to solution Solved by TetraSky,

Over the years, I have found bluetooth is one of the first thing to die when it's integrated in a computer. That and wifi.

Kind of a premature death in your case since this should be a relatively new build.

See this help guide for your board to see if there's something you missed:

Just to be sure, you DID screw in the antennas in the back of your PC. Correct ? Those are not just used for Wifi.

Save yourself the headaches and buy a bluetooth dongle.

Hello,

I am hoping someone here can help me because I feel like I have tried everything I can. I currently have a computer that I built. It has an ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi 6E Motherboard and an AMD 7950 X3D Processor running Windows 11 Pro. For the life of me, I can not get my Bluetooth to work. If a device can connect, that connection will last a few moments to a minute max then disconnect and start a loop of connecting and disconnecting. Bluetooth headphones, Keyboards, and my Xbox controller are useless on Bluetooth right now.

I have tried updating the BIOs, using the Bluetooth troubleshooter, resetting the services, and setting them to automatic. Turning off the power-saving modes for Bluetooth in the device settings. I have been using the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro (wirelessly as the Bluetooth option will not stick.), The Razer Basilisk Ultimate Hyperspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse and the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless. Currently, I am using the Razer mouse and keyboard wired because I read it might interfere with the Bluetooth signal but it has not helped my issue.

I have reached a wall and honestly have no clue how to proceed to get Bluetooth to work reliably. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Bluetooth sucks on Windows. It has always sucked on Windows and likely will always suck on Windows. If you want wireless peripherals I’d suggest the ones using proprietary wireless tech.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yeah, I think next time I will just buy an adapter, but Tetrasky, thank you. The issue was I did not have the Antennas on the back. I've worked in computers for many years and never knew Bluetooth used Wi-Fi antennas! It working much better now!

I blame motherboard manufacturers, really. They always tout out their antennas for wifi. But they fail to say they are also used for Bluetooth. Even the back of your board only says Wifi 6E on the IO shield out back. The manual makes no mention of needing the antennas for bluetooth, too.

I myself only found out by coincidence last year when a friend had similar bluetooth issues.

But hey, the more you know. Good to know it was solved without needing to spend more money.
