Laser Projector

Wondering if anyone can give me guidance on shopping for a laser projector.  I don't have any idea of what kind of budget I will be putting towards it but know that I want laser so I'm not replacing bulbs.  I would like 4k and I'm shooting for about 76" on screen size from about a 10' throw.  Will need to be ceiling mounted and as for features I don't need it to be smart but don't know what other features there are.  I want a nice one but haven't even looked at pricing yet, thought I'd ask here first so I get off on the right foot.

 

*I'm working on light control right now, it's half of my man cave with an 8' aquarium that has very bright light's but today I'm putting up some pull down black out shades and then a projector screen in front of that so for a movie I can pull them down and completely cover the aquarium but there is bound to be some light leakage.

No budget? Clearly just get the Sony VPL-GTZ380 and you're good to go  Careful though...might boil your fish tank behind the screen.

 

On a more serious note, the Xgimi Horizon Max seems like it has a lot of promise. Still too new to have much in the way of independent reviews though. Perhaps there will be more coverage of it once you're at the point to buy.

 

But for real, consider the effects of the heat from the projector on your fish tank.

If he really has no budget, go Christie or Barco. The UDX‑4K40 FLEX does 40,000 Lumens.

That screen size from that throw distance is likely going to be difficult to accomplish. Are you hard set on the screen size?
