PSU is a Corsair RM650 and was bought only a few months ago.

After being left overnight with the computer switched off at the wall, when switching the PC on at the wall in the morning, it vibrates quite aggressively for about 1-2 seconds before the PC is even switched on at the front.

This definitely isn't normal and my other PC that is plugged into the same wall socket doesn't do this.

Any thoughts on what may be the issue?

Does the PSU have a fan? Maybe it's out of balance or some mounts are loose?

Fan might be dying, which may mean a PSU replacement. Opening power supplies is dangerous and not worth the risk unless you know for 100% certainty what you are doing and what you can and can't touch.

To be clear, I don't think it's anything to do with the fan, as the fan wouldn't even be on at the point it makes the vibration.

I switch the wall socket on and then it makes the vibration, before even pressing the power button on the front of the PC.

To me it sounds like some kind of internal capacitor or something that as soon as it's getting electricity to it, is making the vibration which transfers to the case and amplifies it.

I'll add a recording as soon as it does it again.

Have you tried a different power cable?

Yep

Definitely seems PSU related, as I left it switched off at the socket for about 2 hours just now and got a less aggressive vibration, but still a small one.

I'd hazard a guess that it's some kind of capacitor that's losing charge over night and when it gets power it charges it making the vibration noise.

The noise is present at 5 seconds on the recording, but bear in mind that this is after being switched off at the socket for 2 hours, if left overnight, the noise is much louder.

Well then I think the next most common form of vibration comes from coil windings in a transformer.
