pre-installed water coolers

hey i am planning on doing a water cooled rig with dual gtx titan blacks from evga, with pre-installed water blocks.

I was just wondering if it is safe to do a test to see if they come dead on arrival, on are on a test rig without water, just on air during the tests?

would it cook the gpu or would it be ok?

When you say on air, do you mean passive? If so don't do it.

Honestly... Yeah you could. No benchmarks, no games, no facebook, no youtube. Nothing more than booting, checking GPU-Z and shutting down. EDIT: By shutting down I mean flip the psu switch

 

 

Even really experienced benchers will not do that, so DO NOT DO IT. Hey, you wanna place a bet on that card being DOA? :lol:
