the power switch LED flashes 4 times per second indicating a memory error - this happens for about 5 seconds

then, it flashes once every 2 seconds, indicating vga card error, again for about 5 seconds, finally it flashes once every 4 seconds indicating a boot device error, and this happens continuously.

i have reseated the gpu, ram, m.2, and cpu to no avail.

Try with just 1 DIMM installed first into slot DIMM_A2 which is the second slot closest to the CPU socket. Refer to your MB manual (page 1-11). If that doesn't work, swap that DIMM out for another in the same DIMM_A2 slot in case one of them is bad.

If you're able to boot the system with one DIMM, you'll want to perform a memory test using Memtest86. That last part is super critical, because you'll want to ensure system stability so that when you flash the BIOS to the latest revision (version 1666 dated Sept 30, 2024) you don't want to write corrupted data to flash memory (EEPROM).

Once done, you can try installing the other memory module into DIMM_B2 for a total of two DIMMs installed.

So to recap the steps to do

1. Use only install one module into DIMM_A2

2. Run Memtest86 from a USB flash drive to ensure no memory errors are occurring.

3. If Memtest86 passed tests, update the BIOS.

4. Install secondary memory module into DIMM_B2.

5. Run memtest86 with both modules installed. If passed without any errors detected, proceed with installing Windows.
