Budget (including currency): not much more than 1200 euros

Country: netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: general gaming at 1440P

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): (this is my first time actually seriously picking parts for a pc so please be harsh so i can learn)

So, I am trying to help one of my friends get a pc. I made a parts list and would like to know yalls opinions and would like to ask if there would be any bottlenecks or compatibility issues in the system.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wGPkGP

He wants to game at 1440P at 144hz so screen recommendations are welcome too.

Also, amd videocards vs Nvidia, which are better. Amd seems to have much lower prices with pretty good specs but nvidia has the stuff like ray tracing.

He plays/wants to play a few games like sea of thieves, rainbow six siege, cs2, ark survival ascended, black ops 6 and subnautica 2

At 1440p, with "general gaming" = assuming some perhaps more casual, or only slightly competitive and more story-game single-player gaming.

GPU > CPU for higher graphics settings and higher resolutions.

Hence why @Why_Me changed to cheaper CPU and went for 7800 XT instead of 7700 XT. (while hovering total about ~1300€ or slightly below that)

What budget for monitor?

Also is AIO mandatory for aesthetics?

It's also worth noting that in X3 Mesh this Gigabyte 3fan card will practically clear across the entire X3 Mesh case.

Wouldnt say mandatory, he just said he would like one, might be able to convince him to take air cooling though. He did say he wanted a bit of rgb for the funnies.

Budget for monitor i would say is not higher than 200(?) Havent asked him yet.

I myself am running a 4060ti for 1440p gaming lmao, i bought my pc (pre built) a year ago and im kinda dissapointed i didnt build one myself since i couldve gotten something much better for the same price or even less. I think im gonna use this one for another 4 years or so and then build a new one myself

Quick question about the motherboard: whats the difference between the one you have there and the wifi version? And which is better?

Quick question about the motherboard: whats the difference between the one you have there and the wifi version? And which is better?

Which wifi version you speak of?

ASRock Pro RS has really good VRMs, it's WiFi version too, and it's similarly powerfulf if you're talking about the MSI GAMING PLUS WIFI board and slightly better than MSI Pro B650-S in terms of VRMs again.

But all motherboards mentioned have good enough VRMs for current AM5 lineup.

Yea was talking about the asrock and whether there is any difference except for the wifi part in the normal and the wifi board.

My friend is gonna get the parts on black friday but when the deals are available we are gonna look to see if there are any other better processors for the same price, same goes for ram and ssd
