Hello, i am planing upgrade my ram, now i have a motherboard that supports 5000mhz only, i am planning to buy 32gb 5200mhz ram, would it cause any issues ? or should i get lower mhz ram?

What motherboard and CPU?

5200 is ddr5 , so get either 6000cl30 for Ryzen or 6400cl32 for Intel.

5200 is the jedec minimum spec.   They'll handle higher.

Pretty sure his board is DDR4.

I would recommend you check your motherboard's QVL on Asus' website & see what kits it lists, then get one of those.  QVLs are less 'reliable' than they used to be, but those kits should at least "work".
Are you planning on getting a 2x16GB kit or a 4x8GB kit? I would recommend 2x16GB if possible, running 4 DIMMs on DDR4 memory controllers can be iffy on AMD & I believe it's still gimpy on Intel as well, in terms of not being able to run speeds as high as you'd expect, or timings as tight as the sticks specify.

Primary Rig:

CPU: AMD 7800X3D @ Stock PBO - Mobo: Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master

2 x 48GB G.Skill Trident Z Royal 6400MHz CL32 1.35V @ 6200MHz CL28-37-32-30 1.5V (still tuning)

CPU Cooler: EK AIO that will be being replaced when I get the chance - PSU: eVGA P2 1200W

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC @ either 2595MHz @ 900mV or 2970MHz @ 1070mV

Case: Thermaltake View 91 - SSDs/HDDs: 1 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, 2 990 Pro 2TB M.2s, 1 990 Pro 4TB M.2, 1 TeamGroup Cardea Z440 2TB M.2, 1 Seagate EXO X10 10TB HDD

Good catch

Was focused on the 5200MHz ram being ddr5.

The ddr4 board supports 5k ram?  Or is he confusing the boards?

Yeah oddly, according to Asus website, it supports up to

Quote
Memory
4 x DIMM, Max. 128GB, DDR4 5066(OC)/5000(OC)/4800(OC)/4600(OC)/4400(OC)/4266(OC)/4000(OC)/3733(OC)/3600(OC)/3466(OC)/3400(OC)/3333(OC)/3200/3000/2933/2800/2666/2400/2133

So not officially 5200, but I'm betting one could get there with sufficient tuning, as long as the CPU memory controller plays nice.  I haven't had Intel since the 9900K so I can't comment on that.

I think DDR4 realistically can hit 4400MHz, at least what I have seen from this forum.  I haven't run across anyone breaking more than that.

Get 3200CL16 or 3600CL18 for DDR4.  The higher frequencies are damn near impossible to hit.

Personally I wouldn't bother paying the premium that the 5200MHz kit probably comes with, get a 4000MHz or 3600MHz kit instead & tune it yourself - even if the prices are similar, it's very unlikely that the 5200MHz is going to actually be a thing that you can run without significant tuning to get it stable.

The kit I had in my 5950X setup, I just looked it up, it was 4x8GB CL15 1.5V 4000MHz, I had it running at 3800MHz (for the 1900 FCLK 1:1) at CL14 with slightly lower voltage than stock and it was happy as a clam.  I imagine the bigger you go on DDR4 kits the harder it is to hit higher speeds, same as it is with DDR5 and DDR3 before it, so expecting to hit 5200MHz on a 32GB DDR4 kit is probably not realistic, even on Intel.
