PC specs

Ryzen 5 7600x

Gigabyte OC 4090

MSI B650 tomahawk WiFi motherboard

Corsair 1000w PSU

Corsair Vengeance 32GB 5600hz ram

corsair h150i elite lcd xt cooler

WD 1TB storage

My problem right now is my pc is not running as good as can be compared to others who are running similar specs. It has worse performance, along with severe jitters and very low 1% fps, along with the gpu and cpu not being fully utilized(no thermal throttle)

What I’ve tried to do to fix: reupdate both Nvidia and AMD drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled games, clean boot, making sure that the display cable is in the right place in the gpu, change Nvidia settings.

I haven’t tried to update bios due to me bricking a motherboard trying to fix the ram issue with am5, ended up bricking the mobo and I don’t trust myself in doing this, along with fresh windows install due to having a lot of personal files I’d rather not lose.

Im at a loss on what to do, if anyone can help fix this issue, I’d

So, updating the BIOS would be my first port of call. How did you brick the mobo the last time you tried to update a BIOS? Its usually pretty straight forward.

2nd step is do a fresh install of Windows. You need to get all those important files back up up to OneDrive or something similar. There's no substitute for a fresh Windows install and its the only way of ruling out a software / driver issue.

you NEED to update the BIOS...

u can't really brick the mobo either... even then its warranty case.

i have no clue how to update BIOS other then usb stick... follow the instructions... rename the files if nothing works (it never works on first try lol) and ive always managed somehow.  just make sure it's actually the RIGHT BIOS

I was able to update the bios, and it didn’t fix the issue.

some additional info, I recently upgraded the cpu cooler this weekend, and from what I remember, it was working fine. (I was having similar issues before, but I had the display port in the mobo, not the gpu) could the issue be power related? I’m still at a loss with this
