I have a i9 12900k and i got a new 4080 super, and my CPU is constanly at 100% usage while my GPU sits at 20% or less, and my ram is barley being used. Is this a Bottleneck with my CPU not being better than my GPU. If so what CPU do i need to get to stop this, because I play valorant and am experience alot of frame tearing.

Shouldn't be a bottleneck at all.

First, confirm you're plugged into your GPU and not your Motherboard.

Second: If the first is confirmed, you may have some type of malware infection on your machine.

You should not be experiencing frame tearing with a 12900k. IT should be MORE then enough to get decent fps in a FPS like that.

What is your resolution, what is your monitor, what is your Ram total.

are you plugging the monitor cable into the MOBO or the GPU?

A 12900k should be able to handle a 4080, at least more than you describe.

100% cpu usage on a 12900k while the 4080 Super is at 20% is not to be expected with your hardware. Something is definitely wrong.

What types of framerate are you getting in Valorant?  Are you using the iGPU?

Make sure you are plugged into the GPU.

and i had just ran malwarebytes and CCleaner to check for malware

When you're in game and your CPU usage is at 100%, open task manager and sort the processes by CPU usage and post a screenshot

Do you have any type of downloads going on in the background? If not, then you most likely have some type of infection.
