Additionally you could wait for new GPUs, but of course, that's quite a decent amount of time, around quarter of next year I think if not later..

That's why there's 2 builds, or you could just copy one and then replace the GPU with any Nvidia that fits your budget, if not 4090 then 4080 or 4080 Super.

I would recommend seeing if the 50-series draw bargain for purchase, whether them or any potential discounts on 40-series. (or even second-hand if you're like that)

Though 50-series aren't coming anytime soon I think they're releasing first quarter of next year...

Also, if you don't want to pay inflated 7800x3D price due to it being out of stock and the production is lessened/stopped, then look for 7700x or the newer 9700x, perhaps even 9800x3D, not sure when you plan buying the parts.

You're pairing RTX 4090 with ATX 1.42 version PSU?

Also their approx budget was 2500USD that's why I'm recommending 4080 (Super) because they cost less, and that's why I'm recommending 50 series and sales wait if possible.

I have RTX 4080 with 850W XPG Core Reactor, no issues, but 4090 ... might be not cool.

But聽ATX 1.42? That PSU is聽v2.52 MSI one is ATX v3.0 if I read correctly.

Yeah, I'm saying this because 4090 isn't 4080, 4090 is more likely (or literally 100% likely) to be using the new connector.

Either way my list had 1000W PSUs for headroom, several good reasons to have some headroom.

If you're extreme and want 850W, there's Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 TT Premium, or GF1, or 12 M Pure Power BeQuiet!, or MSI MPG A850G PCIE5, the list goes on as the price increases, but all of the PSUs I've mentioned are 3.0 ATX, decent quality, and below 100$.
