Considering it's $170 dollars off how does the XFX cooler perform like?

It's almost as cool as Sapphire and Asus.

It's pretty quiet as it only uses 1 of the 2 fans when idling or light loads

Very quiet, significantly cooler than stock.

I like the stock cooler, looks brill wished it was made out of metal though.

I think the stock cooler looks very retro, has a volcanic theme about it as well. I wish it was made of metal as well or at least parts of it.

I want to get another R9 290 for my bro and customise the plastic shroud get a bit of R&D done. Order some aluminium and cut it out to fit the shroud and finally have a metal shroud instead.

I have the XFX 280x and the cooler is OK but the VRM temps go nuts.
