My pc is working for the most but I have some problems some times. My problems are:
  • I can't have 4 ram sticks in at the same time (now I'm running at 2 sticks) or my computer won't boot up, but the fans are spinning and rgb is lit when I try to boot.
  • Ram rgb and mobo rgb is not working properly. The ram rgb is blinking sometimes, it can be one or two that is lit up time between like 10ms and 3 sek and then it goes out. The mobo rgb cant be controlled at all but is color cycle is on al the time (I have tried different apps to controll it).
  • Random crashes happens sometimes (like once every two weeks) and when it crashes, it's trying to restart but the Dram led is lit then, so I have to restart it manaully with the power button.

And my pc specs are:

Cpu: Intel Core i7-9700k

Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Mobo: Asus rog strix Z390-F Gaming

Ram: HyperX Fury 8GB 2666MHz DDR4: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-3000MHz-Desktop-Memory-HX430C15FB3A/dp/B07WHF6YDL?th=1

SSD1 : Kingston SA2000M8500G 466 GB

SSD 2: Samsung 980 pro 1 Tb

I dont know but my auto start apps are slower to open up now then before, but idk if its this problem that causes that ptoblem. Now I had this Dram problem for about a year now, but I want to fix it. Like I said. it works perfecly fine when I'm playing games, browsing on the internet and codeing and so on. And it can crash when just afk and nothing running, or when somethings is running, it dont matter. I bought this prebuit second hand in good conditions after a year when i bought it in 2021 (that person I bought it of bought it in 2020). I never seen this problem and I dont know what to fix it. Ask if you wonder anything. THANKS! =)

What do you mean by "crash"? BSOD? Restart? Crash to desktop?

Or do you mean what you described in bullet point 3, that it resets, but can't boot up?

What is the model number/code of all 4 sticks?

What date/version is your BIOS?

Did 4 sticks ever work on this PC, or did you just buy them?

Did the RGB ever work properly, or has it always been broken?

BSOD, it crashes to bluescreen, tries to restart, cant boot couse of the dram, I have to restart manaully, it works

Part number: KHX2666C16/8G | Model 2666

What date/version is your BIOS?

Version 2.20.1271 (2019) American Megatrends, inc

My four sticks have worked until one year ago (I think) when I launched COD, and after that I could not turn on the pc with 4 sitck in it. I had to take out 2 sticks to boot it up.

The RGB have worked until that day when I took 2 ram stick out.

It sounds like the sticks just went bad? Did you run memtest on them without the other 2 installed?

There is a small chance that a shift in the cooler would cause it (memory channel problems can be caused by the mounting pressure).

I would expect a 9700K to have zero problems running 4x 8GB sticks at 2666, so I very much doubt your CPU degraded.

The RGB: my guess would be that you have a BIOS/software configuration problem then, rather than a hardware problem.

The crash, that's weird that it gets stuck on DRAM, you could try cleaning the contacts and reseating them, especially if your PC is very dusty.

I did the memtest with 2 sticks and it was 0 errors. Then I tried with all sticks and the CPU led on the motherboard was lit and could not boot. After I tried with 3 sticks and the DRAM led was lit up, so could not boot.
