DirectX error

My friend is having a problem where when he tries to open a game, he’s getting a directX error. his GPU drivers and windows is up to date, so I’m not sure what could be causing this. I don’t know his exact specs, but I know he has an intel CPU and nvidia GPU

Every game he launches I’m pretty sure, but definitely COD and Fortnite

He has a 13900k and a 4090

What is the DirectX error, cause there are so many. Some of them are definitive signs his CPUs is for the scrap, but others are the usual nVidia BS, which can be resolved with DDU.

it seems likely the cpu is toast, rma or better refund and get a ryzen cpu.
