Nobara ThinLink Server

I have a very capable gaming PC at home running Nobara linux. I you don't know about it, try it! I basically can run any game that run on Steam out of the box. As for the non Steam games, it is simple to set and use.

 

My project is to run a ThinLink server on my gaming computer and have my kids and wife on thin clients able to tap into my ressources.

 

Before I start, tho I was wondering if someone tried that before and if it would trigger anticheat softwares.

I did see the NetworkChuck video about a setup similar to this for his employees.

 

I think that it would also be a fantastic project for Linus and his team.

 

If nobody add on this, I'll start my project in September and keep posting here for your delight.

so.. this is a fork from fedora to fix up the third party packages that fedora doesnt do a good job with...

 

why not run a *buntu then?

 

and yes.. it will defenately trigger anticheat software, there's not even a doubt about that.

It just sounds like a more "dynamic" x gamers 1 CPU, which are never recommended as a real life deploy. More a proof of concept
