Hello there!

I'm looking for some help in making a really great gaming pc. I have parts picked out through PC Part Picker, but I'm unsure on if they're the best things I can get or not. My current budget is capped at $2,500 (USD), which is quite a bit, but I've been saving for awhile and also made money off of selling a part I bought because it was cheap, but never ended up using at the time. The current build I have curated sits just under $2,400 so any recommendations to get it lower are also appreciated. Just cause I will spend up to $2,500 does not mean I need to.

When it comes to function of the pc, I will be mostly using it for gaming and daily uses, with hopes to start streaming some. Some common games I play include Red Dead Redemption 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Minecraft, The Sims 4, Stardew Valley, Valorant, Overwatch, etc. I also intend on using two monitors that I will also need to decide on (PC budget is separate from my peripherals budget). I do already have my webcam, headset, mouse, and keyboard that will be reused, and I have ideas for the mic I will be getting.

I am upgrading from practically nothing. My current daily computer is an HP gaming laptop that I've had for quite a few years now. All my gaming recently had been done in one of the gaming labs on my college campus. I no longer live close enough that it is convenient to get to, so having a system in my home will be ideal. The specs of the computer I curated are similar to the specs of the desktops I used there.

Lastly, because I've been asked before, I do not have any computer store super nearby. The stores closest to me are all Best Buys or small mom and pop computer stores with little inventory. The closest Micro Center to me is almost 5 hours away (which I am willing to drive to if they have good deals going on at the time).

Oh man! The price of the RTX 4070 ti super makes me want to vomit.

Anyway, if this is what you want, go for it. If you want to save money, go with no RGB, and an air cooler. Also about the RAM, the lower the CAS latency the better.

If he's got his $2500 earmarked, he can add more SSD or grab a 4080 Super.

Btw, love how the North is only $109 now too.

Here's a case that's easier to work with, especially if using an AIO. btw you want DDR5-6000 CL30 if you plan on gaming. Replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below if you desire the full effect.

Thank you! I'll definitely take a look at some of your swaps! I do know that I want to stick with the Fractal North case, but your other suggestions might work for me 🙂

Yes, I know I can save money with no RGB, but I prefer it haha. And I want to go for an AIO just because of my general room temperature. I'll look into other ram though! And yes, the price of the 4070ti Super is horrible, but it could be worse.

Thank you, I will definitely take some of these suggestions into account! Unfortunately I picked the shorter GPU so it would fit with a front mounted rad since I do prefer the AIO cooling 🙂

I also love that the North is only $109 now! It's definitely been my favorite case since it came out. Expanding my storage was definitely the plan with leftover budget, as well as putting the rest of the money with my peripheral budget.
