Best VR headset Upgrade?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but I'm not sure where to ask this. I'm looking to upgrade from my quest 2 for pcvr, I don't really use the quest store or games installed, I either use virtual desktop or I plug it in to the computer, the resolution is fine but the compression is awful whether it is plugged in or wireless. If possible I was looking for something without Fresnel lenses. I understand that my best upgrade path is probably the quest 3 but I would like to stay away from meta/facebook if I can. I was looking at the Vive Pro 2 or XR elite but I've heard really mixed things about it, some people say its the best standalone, and some people say it might as well be a refreshed vive focus. I was eyballing the Bigscreen Beyond but I cant always have a tethered vr headset, for instance, it I want to play pavlov or phasmophobia I have to move into another room in order to have enough space.

Well 1. Fuck apple 2. As far as I know it's only AR, could be wrong though.

Quest 3 is kind of the only reasonable option currently.

You could go with the Pico 4 or 4s and give your data to TikTok instead of Facebook if they ship to your location.

Bigscreen and Pimax have their benefits but will be wired and much more expensive. Pimax is working on a wireless addon but it isn't available yet.

Vive pro 2 can be wireless but adds a lot of extra cost and doesn't allow full resolution/framerate of the headset. all other HTC models reviews are pretty meh to weak.

Maybe Valve will release their Deckard/index 2 headset at some point soon but there is no indication of this happening

I think I have narrowed it down to either the Vive XR Elite or the Bigscreen and I will have to just get creative with how I link to my PC.
